Anouk & Co was engaged to design a new café in The Strand Arcade on behalf of Black & White Espresso. This is Black & White Espresso’s second Sydney location, expanding on their popular café at the Rocks.

The space is sophisticated yet approachable and warm, echoing the DNA of Black & White Espresso. The fit-out takes inspiration from The Strand Arcade and its colour palette. The palette of materials feature original heritage Victorian tiles, muted rose terrazzo, coastal oak and brass. Feature walls include hand-broken ceramics and French washed render add an element of the unexpected.

Custom banquette seating in anaemic pink is paired with brass trimmed, rose terrazzo base tables. Lighting is considered and features custom ceramic wall sconce and illumination by halo LED lighting.
